Berlin Quantum- Quantum Symposium: Q-Memories
- Quantum Technology
Chair: Prof.Dr.Tim Schröder (HU Berlin/ FBH)
Co-Chairs: Dr. Sven Ramelow (HU Berlin), Dr. Markus Krutzik (FBH), Dr. Gregor Pieplow (HU Berlin), Dr. Tommaso Pregnolato (FBH)
Quantum technologies (QT) are based on quantum effects and their precise manipulation, i.e. superposition and entanglement in well-controllable quantum systems. QT demonstrated entirely new concepts of quantum-enhanced sensing, information processing, and secure communication. A tour de-force around the world started a few years ago in order to transfer laboratory demonstrations into real-world applications. Both academia and commercial enterprises are strongly involved to realize this so-called second quantum revolution. This symposium will give an overview on latest trends and exciting developments of academic and commercial research in quantum memories.
The workshop will also review promising developments in the field of quantum technologies with a focus on entrepreneurship in quantum technologies to provide a platform for an efficient and fruitful exchange between academia and industry.
